I'd like to think my inability to learn the state capitals was the result of my lack of interest in the subject.
And then I realize that no student is really interested in state capitals. And I know that I'm just state-capital stupid.
I mean, you didn't care about the capitals, did you? Not eight percent more than I did, I'm sure.
I could have cared less. I agree, for the most part even kids think of this as useless knowledge.
I got to number 14 and quit when the thought "why the hell am I doing this?" floated through.
